Choose From Our Extensive Range of Products

Victorian Conservatories

Victorian conservatories offer a timeless design with elegant detailing and a distinctive roof shape. They can be a particularly attractive choice when you want your new space to have a traditional character while providing additional light and living space.

Edwardian Conservatories

With their clean lines and symmetrical design, Edwardian conservatories provide excellent usable floor space. Their straightforward layout makes them a versatile option for a wide range of homes.

Modern Glass Extensions

For a more contemporary appearance, a modern glazed extension can create a strong connection between your home and garden. Generous areas of glazing allow natural light to become a key feature of the space.

View

Orangeries

An orangery provides a more substantial architectural feel while retaining the benefits of generous glazing. It can work particularly well as a dining area, family room, lounge or entertaining space.

Warm Tiled Roofs

If you want your conservatory to feel more like a natural continuation of your home, a warm roof can provide improved insulation and a more solid interior finish. Our warm tiled roof solutions also work well when upgrading an existing conservatory, creating a more comfortable space for everyday use.

A Family Business Trusted Across Dorset Since 1969

David Fennings has been helping people transform their homes since 1969. What began as a local conservatory business has grown into a trusted name across Dorset for glazed extensions, warm tiled roofs, windows and doors, and we are still family-run and still working from the same showroom at Sunrise Business Park on the edge of Blandford Forum.
Dorset has been our patch from the very beginning, and our own team handles every stage of the job: the initial design and ideas, planning permission and baseworks, the full build, then the final touches like flooring, blinds and lighting. There are no sub-contracted crews, no hard sales and no gimmicks, just honest work and the same care whether it is a full orangery or a single new door.
If you would like to see the standard of finish before you commit, you are very welcome to visit us. There are several full conservatories on display with tiled floors, furniture, blinds and lighting, alongside an extensive range of aluminium, hardwood and uPVC systems. We are easy to find just off the A350, with ample parking.

Conservatories in Dorset and the Surrounding Area

Dorset covers a real mix of properties, from Georgian market towns like Blandford and Wimborne to coastal towns and rural villages further out. A conservatory that works has to suit the house it’s attached to, not just look good in a brochure.
We take the proportions, materials, roof design and glazing options of your specific home into account, rather than offering one design across the board.
Wherever you are in Dorset, from Blandford Forum to the coast, get in touch and we’ll talk through what would actually work for your property.

Why a conservatory adds value to a Dorset home

Neighbourhood

Sherborne

A honey-stone abbey town with Sherborne Abbey and Sherborne Castle at its centre, and streets of Georgian and older buildings that carry real character. A popular spot for homeowners who want a design that respects a period property.

Neighbourhood

Wimborne Minster

A market town built around its twin-towered Minster church, with narrow Georgian streets and a strong sense of local history. Many homes here sit close to the town centre on smaller, well-established plots.

Parks & Gardens

Kingston Lacy

A National Trust house and estate near Wimborne, with formal gardens, parkland and woodland walks. It's a reminder of how long Dorset families have invested in getting their gardens and outdoor spaces right.

Parks & Gardens

Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens

Twenty acres of gardens near the coast at Abbotsbury, sheltered enough to grow plants you wouldn't expect to see this far north. Proof of how much Dorset's microclimates can vary from one part of the county to the next.

Landmark

Corfe Castle

A ruined Norman castle standing over the village of the same name in the Purbeck hills, one of the most photographed landmarks in the county. It sums up how much history is built into the Dorset landscape.

Landmark

The Jurassic Coast

England's only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site, running along the Dorset and East Devon coast from Lyme Regis past Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Ninety-five miles of coastline that's a big part of why people move to Dorset in the first place.

Whether you’re closer to the market towns inland or out towards the Jurassic Coast, a well-designed conservatory lets you make the most of Dorset’s outlook in comfort all year round. We’ll help you choose a design that suits your home, your area and the local weather.

What our customers say

★★★★★

Correspondence was great

David did my aluminium double glazed bi-folding doors at my house. The service from start to finish was superb. Correspondence was great. And the product is the best as my house backs on to the fleet at Weymouth where we get big south westerly winds carrying all the salt spray. They have been installed for 10 years now and operate and look new.

Just love it, thanks so much David Fennings

Our aluminium framed conservatory has now been up for 20 years and continues to give us as much pleasure as the day it was finished. We live in it for 90% of the year enjoying its warmth and sunshine during winter plus glorious outdoor style in summer. Just love it. Thanks so much David Fennings. A proper job that brings the Med lifestyle to Dorset.
