Choose From Our Extensive Range of Products
Victorian Conservatories
Victorian conservatories offer a timeless design with elegant detailing and a distinctive roof shape. They can be a particularly attractive choice when you want your new space to have a traditional character while providing additional light and living space.
ViewEdwardian Conservatories
With their clean lines and symmetrical design, Edwardian conservatories provide excellent usable floor space. Their straightforward layout makes them a versatile option for a wide range of homes.
ViewModern Glass Extensions
For a more contemporary appearance, a modern glazed extension can create a strong connection between your home and garden. Generous areas of glazing allow natural light to become a key feature of the space.
ViewOrangeries
An orangery provides a more substantial architectural feel while retaining the benefits of generous glazing. It can work particularly well as a dining area, family room, lounge or entertaining space.
ViewWarm Tiled Roofs
If you want your conservatory to feel more like a natural continuation of your home, a warm roof can provide improved insulation and a more solid interior finish. Our warm tiled roof solutions also work well when upgrading an existing conservatory, creating a more comfortable space for everyday use.

A Family Business Trusted Across the Isle of Wight Since 1969
David Fennings has been helping people transform their homes since 1969. What began as a local conservatory business in Dorset has grown into a trusted name across the wider south coast, including the Isle of Wight, for glazed extensions, warm tiled roofs, windows and doors, and we are still family-run and still working from the same showroom at Sunrise Business Park on the edge of Blandford Forum.
For Isle of Wight projects, our own team crosses over by ferry to handle design visits, installation and every stage in between. There are no sub-contracted crews, no hard sales and no gimmicks, just honest work and the same care whether it is a full orangery or a single new door.
If you would like to see the standard of finish before you commit, you are very welcome to visit our mainland showroom. There are several full conservatories on display with tiled floors, furniture, blinds and lighting, alongside an extensive range of aluminium, hardwood and uPVC systems.

Conservatories on the Isle of Wight and the Surrounding Area
The Island has a real mix of properties, from Georgian townhouses in Cowes and Yarmouth to more rural homes further inland. A conservatory that works has to suit the house it’s attached to, not just look good in a brochure.
We take the proportions, materials, roof design and glazing options of your specific home into account, rather than offering one design across the board. Coastal properties often need frames, glazing and hardware specified for salt air and exposure, and we can advise on that as part of the design.
Wherever you are on the Island, get in touch and we’ll talk through what would actually work for your property, including how we’d plan the crossing for your project.
Why a Conservatory Adds Value to an Isle of Wight Home
Cowes
A famous sailing town on the Solent, home to Cowes Week and lined with Georgian and Victorian townhouses along the waterfront. Properties here often need glazing specified for salt air and exposure to the water.
Yarmouth
A small Georgian harbour town on the Island's west coast, guarded by a 16th-century castle and best known as the arrival point for the Wightlink ferry from Lymington. One of the oldest and most characterful towns on the Island.
Ventnor Botanic Garden
22 acres of Victorian planting on the Undercliff, sheltered by the chalk downs into a microclimate closer to the Mediterranean than the rest of Britain. Proof of how much the Island's own weather can vary from one coast to the other.
Osborne House Gardens
The Italianate gardens and private beach Queen Victoria and Prince Albert built at their seaside home in East Cowes, now cared for by English Heritage. A reminder of how long this coastline has drawn people who wanted a well-designed space to enjoy the view.
The Needles
Three chalk stacks rising from the sea off the Island's western tip, one of the most recognisable landmarks on the south coast.
Carisbrooke Castle
A medieval castle just outside Newport, where King Charles I was held prisoner in the 1640s. Still one of the best-preserved castles on the south coast.
Whether you’re watching the sailing from Cowes or the view out towards the Needles, a well-designed conservatory lets you enjoy the Isle of Wight’s outlook in comfort all year round. We’ll help you choose a design that suits your home, your coastline and the crossing logistics for your project.
What our customers say
Correspondence was great
David did my aluminium double glazed bi-folding doors at my house. The service from start to finish was superb. Correspondence was great. And the product is the best as my house backs on to the fleet at Weymouth where we get big south westerly winds carrying all the salt spray. They have been installed for 10 years now and operate and look new.
We can't recommend them enough
Fantastic service from David Fennings Conservatories, we can't recommend them enough. Highly professional service, friendly and reassuring from start to finish. The quality of our conservatory is great and even in the cold weather we have used it as a great addition to our house.
Just love it, thanks so much David Fennings
Our aluminium framed conservatory has now been up for 20 years and continues to give us as much pleasure as the day it was finished. We live in it for 90% of the year enjoying its warmth and sunshine during winter plus glorious outdoor style in summer. Just love it. Thanks so much David Fennings. A proper job that brings the Med lifestyle to Dorset.
We highly recommend them

They were most responsive to our particular needs and we cannot fault the standard of workmanship.
